One hundred children in need at the Oxford Orphanage will get a visit from a group of Easter bunnies in leather on April 8, 2017. Motorcycle riders from across the region will take to the streets once again during the 11th annual Ray Price “Easter Basket Ride” on Saturday to deliver care packages to youth at the The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford.
“We’ve been doing this ride for 11 years now and have a large, committed group of riders every year,” said Kris Weiss, marketing director at Ray Price Harley-Davidson. “Everyone enjoys providing the youngsters with a unique Easter experience.”
Riders depart from the Ray Price dealership at 10 a.m., arriving in Oxford around 11:30 a.m. Motorcyclists riding all makes and models are welcome. Register at Ray Price and members of Raleigh H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) will assemble special Easter baskets for each youngster that will include newly purchased pillows, bedding, blankets and other home care and hygiene needs. Cost is $10/person and includes lunch. Suggested donation is either $10 in cash or the above home goods.
