Last weekend, a very special group of Easter bunnies paid an early visit to youngsters at the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford, N.C. More than 100 riders from Raleigh H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) and Ray Price Harley-Davidson took to the streets during the ninth annual Ray Price “Easter Basket Ride.” Bikers delivered Easter baskets to youth at the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, along with a $1,200 donation.
“We’re always excited to ride to Oxford and are honored to partner with the Masonic Home for Children again this year,” said Kris Weiss, marketing director at Ray Price Harley-Davidson.
“We enjoy bringing the kids a unique Easter experience," said Weiss. "Everybody loves to watch their faces light up as we ride in decked out in leather and pastels with baskets full of treats in tow.”
This was the second year in a row that the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford received a visit from area motorcycle riders. Philanthropy is a big part of the bikers' mission as riders from Ray Price and Raleigh H.O.G. participate in charity rides and fundraisers nearly every weekend.
The Easter Basket Ride is extra special and has been taking place for nearly a decade. Throughout February and March, members of Raleigh H.O.G. collected donations at Ray Price and began assembling Easter baskets so every child would have a special surprise.
